Lansdown, a UK financial advisory and wealth management
group, has appointed Angela Yotov (pictured below) as chief legal
officer and company secretary.

Over a career in financial services of more than two decades, Yotov has gained considerable legal, governance and regulatory experience, in both publicly listed and private financial services companies. Previously, Yotov served in group general counsel roles at Direct Line Group, Close Brothers Group and RateSetter, as well as working at Barclays (investment bank and wealth management). She started her career in private practice at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Latham and Watkins.
Yotov is a qualified solicitor and a graduate of Oxford University, where she studied jurisprudence. She is also a non-executive director of Fareshare, a food redistribution charity. HL Foundation has a partnership with Fareshare South West.

ING, a Dutch financial
corporation, has appointed Maarten Koning as global head of
private markets, effective 1 February 2026.
The newly-established private markets business line will be a key growth area within ING wholesale banking. The private markets area includes private equity and infrastructure sponsors as well as real asset managers of banks, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and other global alternative capital providers. Based in London, Koning will be part of the global sector management team, led by Mark Pieter de Boer, global head of sectors and the global capital markets and advisory (CMA) management team, led by Horacio Martinez, global head of CMA.
Koning will move from his role as global head of trade and commodities finance (TCF). In that position, he was responsible for the global TCF activities with teams in Amsterdam, Geneva, New York, Houston, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The firm is now searching for a new global head of TCF.
