Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – HarbourVest Partners, Fortress

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in wealth management for the UK, rest of Europe, Middle East, and select international jurisdictions.

HarbourVest Partners
HarbourVest Partners, a US-based global private markets investment specialist, has appointed Michelle Han as head of global ex-US marketing. Based in London, Han joined the firm on 1 September 2025 to lead the firm’s marketing strategy and execution across EMEA, APAC, as well as Canada and Latin America. Han will report to Ray Ahn, chief marketing.

Her hire underscores the firm’s commitment to expanding its presence and deepening client engagement across global markets, the firm said in a statement. Han will be involved in shaping and delivering marketing initiatives that support the firm’s growth ambitions, particularly in the wealth segment, where demand for tailored investment solutions continues to rise.

“This appointment aligns with HarbourVest’s broader strategy to scale our multi-manager platform, leveraging deep GP relationships and data-driven insights to deliver diversified exposure across investment cycles," said David Atterbury, head of EMEA at HarbourVest Partners.

Han, who has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, has a background in building high-performing teams and delivering brand and client engagement strategies across diverse geographies. She has joined from Schroders, where she was global head of growth and digital marketing. Prior to this, she served in senior marketing roles at Capital Group and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Fortress Investment Group
New York-headquartered Fortress Investment Group has appointed Rob Brindley as managing director in its European Client Product and Solutions Group (CPSG). In this role, Brindley will oversee relationships and fundraising with pensions and consultants across the UK. He will be based in London and report to Rob Reynolds, head of European Institutional Business Development, the firm said in a statement.

Brindley previously worked for the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), a large UK private pension scheme, where he was an investment director responsible for origination, execution, and asset management of private credit assets, including managing fund and co-investment relationships. Prior to USS, he was UK head of strategic asset finance at Commerzbank AG.

“Rob’s deep understanding of the UK pension landscape – gained from his experience within the country’s largest private pension scheme – and his expertise in private credit and real estate markets will be invaluable as we expand our relationships with institutional investors across the UK and Europe,” Reynolds said. “Strengthening our European franchise is a key pillar of Fortress’s global growth strategy, and we’re thrilled to welcome Rob’s leadership to the team.”

Brindley will collaborate with Fortress’s CPSG and investment teams to enhance the firm’s position as a provider of capital solutions to institutional investors, while diversifying the cost, duration, and structure of capital raised in the years ahead.

His appointment comes during a period of expansion for Fortress in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East – with co-CEO and managing partner Josh Pack and head of Europe and co-head of NPLs Francesco Colassanti spearheading the regional growth strategy, the firm continued. In 2025, the firm made several hires and appointments to support its growing geographic footprint and capital raising capabilities. Reynolds joined in June as head of European Institutional Business Development; in May, Giovanni Luna joined as head of origination, Europe, and Niccolò Biancheri was appointed as head of corporate credit, Europe. Also in May, Fortress named Chuck Spetka head of Middle East based in the firm’s new office in Abu Dhabi global market.
