Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – HarbourVest Partners, ZEDRA, Others

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

HarbourVest Partners
HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets asset manager with more than $160 billion assets under management, has appointed Guido Lombardi (pictured) as private wealth lead for France, Belgium, and Luxembourg and Southern Europe.

The hire reflects HarbourVest’s investment in expanding its private wealth business across EMEA as demand for private markets among wealth investors continues to grow, the firm said in a statement.

Based in London, Lombardi will report to Ivan Pascual, head of EMEA private wealth and lead relationships with private banks, wealth managers and multi-family offices across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece helping clients access HarbourVest’s global private markets platform.

Lombardi has joined from DWS Group, where he spent more than a decade, most recently serving as head of research, investment solutions. He previously held investment and advisory positions at Bourne Park Capital and Redi & Partners in London, helping clients in designing alternative investments portfolios.

HarbourVest's global private wealth business provides financial advisors, private banks, multi-family offices, and wealth management firms with access to its global private markets platform, including private equity primaries, secondaries, co-investments, infrastructure, real assets, and private credit.

ZEDRA
ZEDRA, a provider of pension and incentive services, has appointed Payam Kazemian (pictured below) to lead its risk transfer capability as head of risk transfer, to strengthen its offering in response to growing demand for specialist advice. He has been with the firm since 2021.

Kazemian, who has more than 20 years of experience in the pension industry has, worked with scheme sponsors, trustees, consultants, and asset managers through his role as a professional trustee at ZEDRA. His previous roles in pensions structuring have involved pension investment strategy design, de-risking, and end-game journey planning at several investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Citibank.

"Remaining dynamic and continuing to develop our capabilities to anticipate and meet clients' changing needs is a key priority for ZEDRA,” Kim Nash, managing irector, at ZEDRA, said. “Payam's deep investment expertise, combined with his understanding of complex pension solutions and the challenges facing pension schemes, means he is exceptionally well placed to help trustees and sponsors navigate an increasingly sophisticated pension risk transfer landscape. Kazemian added: “The risk transfer market is entering an exciting phase of development, with new opportunities emerging for pension schemes alongside increasingly complex decisions around timing, transaction structure and implementation.”

Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust
Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT) has appointed Charles Cade a non-executive director, effective 1 September 2026.

Cade is chair of Temple Bar Investment Trust plc and a senior independent director of Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited. In addition to his two investment trust roles, he is also a member of the investment committee of the Rank Foundation charity and an independent consultant to Interactive Investor, the online investment platform. Cade, who has more than 30 years’ experience in investment companies, previously worked at Numis Securities, Winterflood Securities, HSBC and Merrill Lynch.

“I am delighted that Charles is joining the board of TEMIT. His detailed understanding of investment trusts and broad experience in the industry will be extremely valuable to the company,” Angus Macpherson, chair of TEMIT said.

David Graham who served as a non-executive director for nine years, retired at the AGM in July, in line with the company’s policy on directors' tenure. Graham’s wide-ranging experience in international investment management had proven invaluable to the TEMIT board.
