Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Hampden & Co, Swiss Embassy

Hampden & Co
UK private bank Hampden & Co has
announced the appointment of John Glanville as a banking director
in its London office. He will report to Mark Prentice (pictured -
right), head of banking, and will work alongside the banking
teams in Edinburgh and London.
Glanville (pictured - left) was previously at Kleinwort Hambros where he spent more than 10 years, most recently in the Ultra High Net Worth team as a private banker. He will provide clients with a bespoke banking service including day-to-day banking, deposits and a range of tailored borrowing products.
Introducing Glanville to the firm, Prentice said: “We are delighted to welcome John to Hampden & Co. He brings extensive knowledge of private banking and has a proven track record of building trusted relationships with clients, managing their wealth and supporting their banking needs.”
Glanville added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Hampden & Co as the bank continues to experience significant demand from a broad range of clients, professional intermediaries, and mortgage introducers. I look forward to meeting clients and to helping them achieve their goals.”
Hampden & Co has continued to add to its banking, senior
management, and support teams throughout 2022. This included
Kevin Eagles, Gill Sanders and Alistair Macpherson as banking
directors, Hannah Berridge as head of professional partnerships
and Jon Peake as CFO. The bank now has 125 employees, up 22 per
cent in 2022.
Swiss Embassy, UK
The Swiss Embassy in the UK has appointed Excello corporate and
commercial lawyer Gitta Altmann as its official legal
advisor.
Qualifying in 1997, and additionally admitted to the New York Bar
in 1998, Altmann is an English and German speaker with 25 years’
experience of acting for UK and international clients. The focus
of her practice is on business acquisitions and disposals, joint
venture and shareholders’ agreements, commercial agreements,
capital reorganisations and restructures. She has particular
expertise advising global clients on setting up operations in the
UK.
Altmann’s confirmation as official legal advisor
(Vertrauensanwältin) to the London-based Swiss Embassy follows
her association with the Austrian Trade Delegation in London as
one of its trusted UK-based lawyers and her listing with the
German Embassy.
