Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Dynamic Planner, UBS, Crédit Agricole

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Dynamic Planner
UK-based Dynamic
Planner, a digital advice platform, has announced a series of
senior appointments across its customer-facing teams to
accelerate growth ambitions.
Alan Smith has joined as enterprise development director; he is responsible for leading the sales of Dynamic Planner product and API to large financial services institutions. Smith previously served in senior roles at AS WealthTech Consulting; at Citibank in New York as head of global investments; and head of investments and insurance at HSBC in London.
Smith reports to Mark Kiddell who joined earlier this year as sales director. Kiddell – a member of the executive management team – is responsible for the wider sales organisation spanning financial institutions such as asset managers, DFMs and financial advice organisations, heading a 20-strong sales team from the front. Previously, Kiddell served in senior roles at Wealth Wizards, Mercer, Standard Life Aberdeen and Hargreaves Lansdown.
Over the past year, the team also welcomed Jonny Rayner as principal solutions consultant bringing experience from Bloomberg, Skandia, Old Mutual and Aegon. Melinda Lovell, who joined the business three years ago, has been promoted to the newly-created role of enterprise account director and is now a member of the executive management team.
UBS
UBS has appointed Michael
Baechli to join WM Middle East as market head NRI/NRP, effective
9 October, reporting directly to Niels Zilkens, MD, head Wealth
Management Middle East. Baechli will be succeeding Promit Ghose
who will be retiring at the end of the year.
Baechli has more than 20 years of experience in the Indian and NRI wealth management segments, including 16 years in Dubai and seven years in Singapore. He has a proven track record of driving business growth, building successful teams, and delivering results. Most recently, he led the Southeast Asia team at Bank J Safra Sarasin from Singapore, focusing on the Middle East and Asia.
During his 15 years at Julius Baer, Baechli rose from relationship manager to group head/market head for the Indian Subcontinent and NRI business, where he successfully built the business from the ground up and established a strong market presence. He also served as deputy head for global India and developed markets, expanding business across key markets and contributing to strategic leadership. Additionally, Baechli has significant governance experience as a board member and risk committee participant.
“With his deep NRI market knowledge and strategic vision, Michael will be a valuable asset to our team,” Zilkens said. “I’m confident he will play a key role in further strengthening our business, fostering global connectivity, and delivering outstanding value to our clients.”
Zilkens thanked Ghose for his strong contributions over the years
in leading the NRI business within the Middle East.
