The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Dericon
Germany-based Dericon,
a digitalisation partner to 170 banks and investment houses,
including the Sparkassen Group, has made two senior leadership
appointments. Frank Herrmann has been appointed managing director
of Dericon GmbH and Laura Boeck has joined the Dericon leadership
team as chief operating officer (COO). This adds to her role as
chief of staff at FE fundinfo.
Together, they will lead Dericon into its next growth phase, building on its market position as an FE fundinfo company and strengthening the connection between asset managers and product distributors, the firm said in a statement. Under the new leadership, Dericon's priorities will include deepening its market presence across Germany, broadening its client base beyond its extensive network and accelerating development of the WMS platform to deliver even greater value for clients
Herrmann and Boeck will take on leadership responsibilities previously held by former managing directors Andreas Krause and Timon Virgens. Herrmann, who has more 20 years of experience in private banking and the DACH financial services market, previously served as head of Private Banking at Dericon. Boeck brings operational and strategic leadership experience from the FE fundinfo Group as well as a decade of experience across private equity and the investment industry.
"Dericon holds a well-established position in the German market, built on deep client relationships, a powerful platform and genuine expertise in digital wealth management,” Liam Healy, CEO of FE fundinfo, said. “Frank and Laura are the right leaders to take the business forward. They bring complementary strengths and a clear strategic vision. We are excited about what this next chapter holds for Dericon and its clients."
Continuum
M&G Advice has announced that Martin Brown, founder and
managing partner of Continuum, will
retire and step down at the end of August after more
than a decade leading the firm. Jim Reeve, current non-executive
director and chair of Continuum, will become interim managing
partner, subject to regulatory approval.
Headquartered in Plymouth, Continuum is a wholly owned business within M&G Advice, M&G’s financial advice business which supports advisors and their clients through a range of advice, retirement and wealth solutions, working with over 550 professional advisors across the UK.
Brown has spent more than 30 years in the advice sector, holding senior positions at Openwork and Positive Solutions, prior to founding Continuum in 2014 with a vision of creating a relationship-led advice business helping advisors deliver better outcomes for their clients. Brown will continue to support the business through a transition period until the end of the year. Jim Reeve will step into the managing partner role ad interim from September while the board recruits a permanent successor. Having been involved with Continuum since its beginning, Reeve brings knowledge of the business, its advisors and clients.
“Martin has made an outstanding contribution to Continuum and the wider advice profession. He has built a thriving business by creating a strong advisor community and establishing a culture focused on delivering great outcomes for clients. We thank him for everything he has achieved, congratulate him on a remarkable career and wish him well with his retirement” Ross Liston, CEO of M&G Advice said. “With his deep knowledge of Continuum and longstanding involvement with the business, I’m pleased that Jim will step in on an interim basis while we recruit Martin’s successor and I look forward to working closely with him."
