Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Carne Group, RBC BlueBay AM

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

European third-party management company Carne Group, a provider
of fund regulation and governance solutions for the asset
management industry, has appointed Francis Parisis (main picture)
as head of business development (MD) Luxembourg.
Parisis will help drive Carne’s continued expansion in Luxembourg, one of the world’s largest fund domiciles and a strategic hub, for Carne’s global operations. Carne currently oversees more than €200 billion ($232.7 billion)in assets under management domiciled in Luxembourg.
Parisis has more than two decades of senior sales experience across managed services, private wealth, and alternative funds. He has served in several key roles, including at PwC and Citco. His expertise spans global markets, with a particular focus on delivering bespoke solutions to high net worth individuals and institutional clients.
“Francis’ deep industry expertise will be instrumental in driving our commercial expansion, particularly in Luxembourg, which remains a core jurisdiction for our clients and a key area of long-term opportunity," Pascal Dufour, country head Carne Luxembourg and Mark Stockley, chief business development Officer at Carne, said.
Founded in 2004, Carne partners with around 650 clients, from boutique firms to the majority of the world’s 20 largest fund managers; it supports funds distributed in more than 160 countries and overseeing more than $2 trillion assets under management.

BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Swetha Ramachandran in
a newly-created role as a portfolio manager covering the consumer
sector in the global equity team.
Reporting to Habib Subjally, managing director and senior portfolio manager, head of global equity, Ramachandran will be based in London. He will join a team of 17 experienced and long-standing global equity specialists who collectively have over 200 years of investment experience. The team manages a total of 12 strategies with a collective AuM of $29.2 billion for institutional and wholesale investors across the globe.
Ramachandran, who has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, most recently served as a fund manager at Artemis Investment Management, co-managing Artemis’ Global Select and Global Focus strategies. Prior to this, she worked at Swiss asset manager, GAM Investment Management as lead manager of its luxury brands strategies and, before that, at AllianceBernstein as a vice-president, asset management responsible for consumer stocks.
“This is the second portfolio manager role we have added to the global equity team this year, following the appointment of Jonathan Crown in June, signalling our deep commitment to, and client demand for, this asset class,” Subjally said. “Swetha brings great enthusiasm and a wealth of experience, particularly in consumer branded and luxury companies that will be a great addition to our team’s specialist knowledge base.”
