The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in wealth management for the UK, rest of Europe, Middle East, and select international jurisdictions.

Canaccord Wealth
UK wealth manager Canaccord Wealth has appointed Antony Champion (pictured) as chief distribution officer.

Champion, joining from RBC Brewin Dolphin, will be responsible for leading Canaccord Wealth’s national distribution strategy, working with intermediary partners and strengthening the firm’s proposition for advisors across the UK. In this newly-created role, he will report to Duncan Stratford, managing director and will join a senior leadership team supporting the firm’s next phase of growth.

The appointment follows a series of hires within Canaccord Wealth’s IFA team, including Andrew Kelly, Kathryn Sargent, Scott McNiven, Matthew Keen and Michael Clark.

Nomura Asset Management
Tokyo-headquartered Nomura Asset Management has appointed Nick Henderson as head of global sustainable equities and lead portfolio manager of its Global Sustainable Equity Strategy, including its Irish-domiciled Nomura Funds Ireland – Global Sustainable Equity Fund.

Henderson will be based in London and report to Richard Kruse, managing director and head of global equities for Nomura Asset Management UK. Nomura AM UK’s Global Equity team manages sustainable equity portfolios with assets under management of around $1 billion for a mix of institutional and wholesale clients. Alongside Henderson, Benjamin Lacaille will continue in his role as co-portfolio manager, whilst Daniela Dorelova will remain the team’s sustainable investment specialist and also assume co-portfolio manager responsibilities.

Henderson, who has 17 years of experience working on responsible investment strategies, most recently served as director in the global equities team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was lead portfolio manager of the CT Sustainable Global Equity Income Strategy, co-portfolio manager of the CT Responsible Global Equity Strategy, and the lead portfolio manager of the CT Sustainable Opportunities Global Equity Strategy from launch in 2015 to 2024.
