Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Aviva Investors, Global X ETFs Europe

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Aviva Investors
Aviva
Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc,
has appointed Eoin Rooney as director of digital channels and
Serena Burton as strategic partners director within the firm’s UK
wealth team. They will both be based in London.
Rooney will report to Smera Ashraf, who has recently been promoted to the newly-created role of head of EMEA wealth. (Previously, Ashraf led the firm’s UK wealth team.) Rooney will be responsible for defining the strategy and leading distribution of the firm’s investment products across the UK digital wealth market.
Rooney, who has more than a decade of experience within the investment sector, spent several years at Vanguard, working across the D2C offer and strategy within the firm’s UK Personal Investor business. He also served as chief of staff to both the head of Europe and the head of retail, supporting strategic initiatives and regional leadership priorities.
Burton, who has had more than a decade of experience within the investment sector, will report to Hayley Randall, head of UK advisory distribution. Burton’s remit will be to oversee the firm’s strategic partnerships within the UK IFA channel. She also joins the firm from Vanguard, where she held varying positions, most recently as business development manager, supporting the UK distribution intermediary team. Prior to Vanguard, Burton was chief of staff to the head of UK Personal Investor (UKPI).
These two appointments – bolstering Aviva’s UK wealth space – follow the appointment of James Southern, business development director, earlier this month.
