Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Arbuthnot Latham, Coutts

The latest moves and appointments for wealth management roles in the UK, other parts of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.

Arbuthnot Latham
London-headquartered Arbuthnot Latham, a private and commercial bank, has appointed Henry Taylor (pictured below) as a director and head of racing. His appointment marks a strategic expansion of Arbuthnot’s specialist expertise into the horseracing sector, the firm said in a statement.

Henry Taylor

Taylor has joined from Weatherbys Bank where he spent eight years in a range of senior roles, most recently serving as head of Weatherbys Racing Bank. In this position, he served high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients in the racing world with a broad suite of tailored banking services.

Earlier in his career, Taylor spent more than a decade at Lloyds Banking Group. During that time, he also worked internationally in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Tokyo, where he developed deep cross-border expertise.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, including six years dedicated to clients within the racing fraternity, Taylor has gained expertise and insights that will be invaluable to Arbuthnot’s growing banking team.

“Racing is a highly specialised sector with an increasingly sophisticated client base, and Henry’s deep industry knowledge and international banking experience will significantly strengthen our capabilities in this space,” Kevin Barrett, managing director, head of private and commercial banking, said. “His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding our expertise and delivering highly tailored solutions to our clients.”

Coutts
Coutts has appointed Nitin Singh as managing director, head of managed solutions – a new role in the UK private bank’s investment products and solutions team.

Singh will be accountable for the breadth of the Coutts managed investments platform, including portfolio management, and construction and execution, it said.

Prior to joining Coutts, Singh worked at Barclays as managing director and head of Asia-Pacific at Barclays Private Bank. Prior to this, he was at Standard Chartered, HSBC and Avendus.
