Lombard
Investment Managers has appointed George Guest as sales
director in the UK Wholesale team – he joined on 30
August.
His appointment is part of the firm’s commitment to bolster its presence in the UK market and bring its sustainability and thematic product offering to a wider UK audience.
In his new role, Guest will be responsible for promoting the breadth of the firm’s investment proposition to UK discretionary clients, including private banks and wealth managers, the firm said in a statement. He is based in London and reports to Selina Tyler, head of UK Wholesale.
Guest, who has more than 10 years of asset management experience, has joined from Impax Asset Management, where he gained in-depth knowledge of the sustainable investment industry.
Prior to that, he worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments. The firm said that Guest’s experience in sustainable investing will complement its proposition, particularly its sustainable thematic range of science-based and forward-looking strategies, including Natural Capital, Climate Transition and the recently-launched New Food Systems strategy.
Welcoming the move, Selina Tyler, head of UK Wholesale at LOIM, said: “His experience and expertise in sustainable investing will be instrumental to our UK wholesale clients, as LOIM seeks to capture market opportunities from the environmental transition and provide investors with compelling sustainability-linked returns.”
Lombard Odier Investment Managers has a network of offices across Europe, Asia and North America, with assets under management of SFr63 billion ($64 billion) as at 30 July 2022.
