Evelyn Partners
Evelyn
Partners, a UK wealth manager, has strengthened
its presence in the South East of England with the
appointment of Hayley Jarvis to work in its Chelmsford
financial planning team.
Jarvis, is joining Evelyn Partners, formerly known as Tilney
Smith & Williamson, from Essex-based financial planners
Forrester-Hyde. She has worked in financial services since
1996, with global insurers as well as with national and local
independent financial advisors, the firm said in a statement this
week.
As a chartered financial planner, Jarvis works with private
clients and business owners to ensure that they plan for business
continuity, exits and the intergenerational transfer of wealth.
She is interested in providing financial education to a diverse
audience, including families, young adults and those starting to
learn how to manage their finances.
Evelyn Partners said it is continuing to expand in this region, as reflected by financial planner Catherine Glennon joining its Cambridge office in July.
“She [Jarvis] is joining the Chelmsford office as we continue to
expand our reach across Essex, Hertfordshire and South Suffolk
and will be working to continue this growth through her
professional contacts and client referrals," Peter Besant,
partner in financial planning at Evelyn Partners, said. “Evelyn
Partners Chelmsford has seen considerable growth in the last six
years that I have headed up the office. Her experience and
expertise will be integral in placing the power of good advice
into the hands of those we work with and I am really looking
forward to welcoming her into the Evelyn family.”
Separately, the firm has appointed Philip Lewis (pictured)
to the newly-created position of head of financial planning
advice.
Lewis is joining from Fisher Investments UK where he spent eight years, most recently with oversight of UK advice and suitability, the firm said in a statement. In this new role, Lewis will oversee all aspects of financial planning advice from conception and creation to delivery and promotion. His remit will include leading regulatory and operational projects to enhance processes, producing plans to drive improvements, delivering training programmes, and hosting client events.
“Philip will drive forwards our efforts to innovate in wealth management and improve even further our clients’ journeys and outcomes,” Emma Sterland, chief financial planning officer at Evelyn Partners, said. “We are excited about the fresh perspectives and ideas that Philip will bring to our nationwide team of nearly 300 financial planning professionals.”
Evelyn Partners has been making a number of appointments recently after the sale of its professional services business last April. This includes Alex Gersh as its new chief financial officer and an executive director. See more commentary here.
