Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Rothschild & Co, Acorn, Others

The latest moves in wealth management from across Europe and the UK.
Acorn Capital Partners
Private wealth specialist firm Acorn Capital
Partners has appointed Olga Kucherenko
(pictured) as a partner. She will also join the
all-female leadership team at Acorn comprising founder Sally
Tennant and partners Diane Seymour-Williams and Amy
Blackwell.
Kucherenko brings family office experience gained over 14 years
as an advisor at Deloitte where she worked in the private client
services and family office advisory teams and, most recently,
through her own practice, which will merge with Acorn Capital
Advisers.
Kucherenko has served UK and international clients ranging from
first-generation wealth creators to established and influential
wealthy families, helping them with the creation and
transformation of family offices, succession planning and wealth
preservation. She has particular expertise in advising on
governance frameworks while ensuring that the family, family
office and asset holding vehicles align with client vision and
strategy.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and holds
a master’s degree in international economic relations from the
Russian Academy of Economics.
The firm helps families and family offices overcome the
increasingly complex challenges of managing multi-generational
wealth.
Rothschild & Co
UK-based Rothschild &
Co has appointed Joanna Livesey as a director and co-head of
one of the client teams in its UK wealth management business.
Livesey has worked in financial services since 2004, when she
joined Citigroup working in the corporate division, assessing
risk for the bank’s large loans. She has since spent 15 years in
wealth management, working with a broad range of private clients,
particularly wealthy families and those with complex
requirements.
She began her career as a credit risk analyst in 2004. She
started working for Citi Private Bank division in June 2006,
first as a senior investment analyst, becoming a private banker
in 2011. Livesey, who graduated from Oxford University with a
masters degree in engineering, economics and management, is a
member of the CISI and holds the Certificate in Private Client
Investment Advice & Management.
The firm has made several client-facing hires across its UK
wealth management business. These include Justine Walley and
Nathan Long in Guernsey; Tim Eastwood in Birmingham; and Holly
Jennings and Donald Nartey, also in London.
Morningstar
Investment research firm Morningstar has appointed
Wing Chan as head of manager research, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Wing Chan was most recently director of manager research
practice, EMEA and Asia, at Morningstar Investment Management
Asia Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Morningstar. He will
still be based in Hong Kong.
In this new role, Chan oversees Morningstar’s European and
Asia-Pacific manager research analyst teams, including the
regional practices in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He
will also continue to oversee the cross-border practice, which
includes analyst teams in continental Europe and Asia.
Tilney Smith & Williamson
Tilney
Smith & Williamson, the UK wealth management and professional
services group, has announced that Steve Jupp, founder and owner
of Independent Financial Advice firm FP Solutions, will join the
team at its Chelmsford office, reporting to financial planning
partner Pete Beasant.
The arrival of the FP Solutions firm is TSW’s second deal in its
recently-launched succession programme. This has been designed to
help advisors approaching retirement to find a way to move
clients to a new home.
Tilney Smith & Williamson was formed by the merger of Tilney and
Smith & Williamson in September 2020. It oversees £56.0 billion
of assets under management (as at 30 September 2021).
