Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Quilter Cheviot, Quantum Advisors

The latest moves, appointments, and personnel changes in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East and select wealth management jurisdictions.
Alan McIntosh (main picture) has rejoined Quilter Cheviot as chief investment officer for Quilter Cheviot Europe, subject to regulatory approval.
McIntosh will be based in Dublin and will report into Quilter
Cheviot Europe’s chief executive, Andrew Fahy.
Most recently, McIntosh was chief investment strategist at the
parent company, Quilter Cheviot, where he served for 18 years,
and planned to retire last year after the arrival of Caroline
Simmons as chief investment officer at the firm.
However, McIntosh is returning after the unexpected death in
early 2025 of Quilter Cheviot Europe’s chief investment officer,
Donnacha Fox, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
“In response to the tragic and unexpected news of Donnacha’s
passing at the beginning of the year, we have been thinking long
and hard about how best to appoint a successor as CIO,” Andrew
Fahy, chief executive at Quilter Cheviot Europe, said.
“We are incredibly grateful and pleased to have Alan join Quilter
Cheviot Europe and we are looking forward to him being a key
member of the team here in Dublin. Alan has remained keenly
focused on investment markets since stepping down this time last
year, and critically he knows our investment process and local
marketplace well,” Fahy said.
