Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Collas Crill, Spencer West, Suntera, Aviva

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes among wealth management and related organisations in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and select international locations.

Suntera Global
Suntera Global has appointed David Page as director of business development within its funds and corporate services division in the UK.

Based in the firm’s London office, Page (main picture) will play a critical role in driving Suntera’s growth strategy in the UK market, the firm said in a statement.

Working with colleagues across its funds and corporate services teams, Page’s remit will be to enhance Suntera’s visibility in the UK, highlight its capabilities in enabling the ambitions of UK-based asset managers and growth businesses, and support onboarding of new clients.

Page, who is a specialist in the alternative funds sector, including hedge funds and the private markets, has more than 20 years’ experience working across the international prime brokerage, asset management and security services experience. He has worked at a number of major banking institutions in London, as well as in the banking and fund service provider sector in Australia. Most recently he has helped to build out the UK and European funds business of another international service provider.

“The UK, through our expanding London office, continues to be a key market within our growth strategy. Against that backdrop David will, in his new role, be instrumental in introducing Suntera’s compelling global proposition to the asset management, corporate and intermediary community in the UK capital,” Suntera Global CEO David Hudson said. “With his extensive experience working at several major banking institutions and his knowledge of the global service provider space, he will be pivotal in ensuring we continue to connect with key UK market participants and be a valuable addition to our London team.”

Suntera formally opened its London office in June 2024, to provide clients and professional intermediaries with an on-the-ground point of access to the firm’s broad range of cross-border corporate, fund and private wealth services. The firm employs over 500 specialists supporting a global client base from offices in the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Luxembourg, the UK and the USA.

Collas Crill
Collas Crill has appointed Dinesh Menon as counsel in its private client and trusts team in the Cayman Islands.

An advisor to high net worth individuals and families, Menon has worked in the private wealth, trust and estates areas for more than 20 years. His practice concentrates on wealth structuring, succession planning, and administering complex, cross-border estates.

Prior to his new role, Menon worked for Higgs & Johnson in The Bahamas, according to his Linkedin profile.

Aviva Investors
Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has made two hires to join its global fixed income team: Anna Chong has joined as a sector lead and Michalis Ditsas as a senior investment director; both are based in London.

Chong, who will report to Gita Bal, head of fixed income research, will lead Fixed Income’s Resources, Industrials & Infrastructure hub, as well as managing Aviva Investor’s Fixed Income Early Careers programme. She will join three other sector leads as part of the newly-restructured fixed income research team.

Chong has joined from Federated Hermes, where she was head of corporate credit research. Before moving to Federated Hermes in 2017, she worked for JP Morgan.

Ditsas, who will report to Shane O’Brien, head of investment specialists, has over 20 years of experience as a fixed income investment specialist/director working at a number of investment firms including JP Morgan, Alliance Bernstein, and most recently at Federated Hermes.

“I can confidently say they bring a wealth of expertise and insight that will be invaluable to our existing fixed income business,” Fraser Lundie, global head of fixed income at Aviva Investors said. “Their appointments mark another important step in our journey this year, as we continue to strengthen our capabilities with high-calibre talent. We've already seen the positive impact of recent additions, and I have no doubt Anna and Michalis will contribute meaningfully from day one.”

Their appointments follow several other strategic appointments to the Aviva Investors fixed income team in the past year, including Gita Bal, Fabrice Pellous and Roland Derks.
