Standard Chartered Private Bank has appointed Demir Avigdor as managing director and market head, Africa & Europe, the firm said in a statement.

Avigdor has spent over 16 years at UBS in a variety of wealth management, advisory and leadership roles, with a particular focus on high net worth clients.

He will commence his role on 30 October, and will report Ian Gibson, managing director, regional head Europe, Middle East & Africa, private banking.

Brown Shipley
Wealth planning firm Brown Shipley has appointed two members to its Edinburgh office, the firm said in a statement.
 
Rhona McColl has been appointed as business development manager and wealth planner Andy Bolden has joined from Brown Shipley’s Nottingham office. 

McColl, who was previously senior investment sales manager at Legal & General, will be responsible for promoting the Edinburgh office and its wealth management services across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Bolden, who has 30 years' experience in the sector, will be responsible for helping the Edinburgh office broaden its proposition for clients in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
