State Street Global Advisors
State
Street Global Advisors, the asset management business of
State Street Corporation, has appointed Rory Tobin as
global head of its SPDR exchange-traded fund business, it said in
a statement.
Nick Good, previously co-head of the SPDR ETF business, has been
appointed as State Street’s chief growth and strategy
officer.
Tobin joined State Street Global Advisors in 2014 from Barclays
Wealth & Investment Management, where he served as chief
executive of Barclays Asset Management and was global head of
investments and solutions.
He will continue to report to Cyrus Taraporevala, president and
chief executive officer of State Street Global Advisors.
In his new role, Good is responsible for working with State
Street’s management committee and board of directors to develop
long-term business growth, strengthen the company’s business
partnerships and drive continued innovation and solutions
for clients. He will report to Eric Aboaf, chief
financial officer of State Street.
Jim Ross, chairman of global SPDR and State Street Global
Advisors Funds Management continues in his role.
PIMCO
PIMCO, a global
investment management firm, has appointed Richard Bacon and
Joseph McCurdy as vice presidents of its UK global wealth
management team.
Both will report to Jonathan Dabinett, senior vice president and
head of UK global wealth management.
Bacon, who joins PIMCO from Standard Life Investments, will focus
on the Midlands and southern region of the UK. McCurdy, who
joins PIMCO from Standard Life Investments, will focus on the
development of PIMCO’s business across the northern region of the
UK.
