First
Sentier Investors, which oversees $180.3 billion and is owned
by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, has named
Melanie Halsey as chief people and culture officer.
Halsey is based in London, reporting to Mark Steinberg, the chief
executive. She is due to join the firm on 6 September. Halsey has
more than 20 years’ experience in senior human resources roles,
most recently as executive vice president, HR at Colt Technology
Services, where she led a global team of 150 HR professionals
across 15 countries. Prior to that, Halsey was the global head of
HR for Eight Roads, a global venture capital firm.
The firm operates as a standalone global investment management
business with offices across Europe, the Americas, and
Asia-Pacific.
River and Mercantile
River and
Mercantile, the investment group, has appointed Mike Rogers,
a former investment partner at AON, as senior advisor to the
R&M Solutions business.
Rogers has more than 30 years’ of industry experience in pensions
and investment, spanning the asset-side and liability-side of
pensions. He has worked in various roles including CIO of a £30
billion defined benefit and £5 billion defined contribution
pension fund, investment partner and actuarial consultant.
River and Mercantile serves a range of institutional investors
and investment intermediaries with tailored solutions and
investment strategies, covering equities and alternative
investments. Formed in 2014 through the merger of P-Solve and
River and Mercantile Asset Management, the group’s AuM is more
than £45 billion ($61.3 billion). It has offices in the UK,
Australia, and the US.
