Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Deepbridge Capital, Muzinich & Co, Edmond de Rothschild

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.

Deepbridge Capital
UK venture capital investment manager Deepbridge Capital has made two senior hires, appointing Steve Shallcross as chief information and technology officer and Connor Grimes as associate investment director for technology.

Shallcross was latterly SVP of technology and innovation at the Cheshire-based tech company Afin Technologies. At Deepbridge he will lead the businesses’ digitalisation efforts. The firm provides tax efficient investments to the financial advisor and private investor markets.

Grimes joins Deepbridge following six years as investment manager at Seneca Partners, where he supported companies eligible for the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and venture capital trust (VCT)s.

The firm also announced a record year of fundraising with £29.4 million invested across 37 growth companies in 2020, up from £21.5 million raised in 2019; it has a particular focus on growth companies in the technology, life sciences and renewable energy sectors.

Muzinich & Co
Corporate credit investment specialist Muzinich & Co has hired Stéphane Rotceig as director for marketing and client services. Based in Paris, Rotceig will focus on working with clients in the French wholesale market. More recently, the firm has been developing more illiquid offerings for private clients, “where demand is growing,” it said.

Rotceig joins from BlackRock, where he was head of multi-managers and fund selectors developing tier-1 and tier-2 client accounts. Before that, he led sales and marketing for the funds research department of SG Private Banking.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management
Privately held Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has named Rupert Pybus as head of marketing and products and as a member of its executive committee. He starts in Paris on 1 May and will report directly to global CEO of asset management Christophe Caspar.

In the new post, Pybus will oversee the marketing, RFP, product management and product specialist teams at the private banking and asset manager, enhancing brand capabilities and forging client relationships, the group said. Previously, he spent 10 years at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was most recently global head of brand and marketing.
