Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Crestbridge, Waverton IM, Others

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.

Crestbridge
Alternatives specialist Crestbridge has hired Ross Thomson as director, head of funds services for Luxembourg, to help support the expansion of its European fund service offering. The firm said that assets under administration and team size have doubled in Luxembourg during the last year.

In his new role, Thomson will oversee the full range of fund administration services from the Luxembourg office and support wider group growth.

He was previously COO for Carne Global Fund Managers Luxembourg, responsible for the daily charge of running the management company and the AIFM. He is also an experienced global alternative investment funds professional bringing two decades’ of experience in back and middle office roles across UCITS and AIFMD structured funds.

“The emphasis on ESG has driven better regulated jurisdictions to the fore. SDFR is yet another milestone in this story. Governance is increasingly centre stage and is key for our funds' platform and Luxembourg as a funds hub. Crestbridge has been ahead of the curve in these areas,” Thomson said.

Waverton Investment Management
Waverton Investment Management has appointed Sasha Dabliz as head of marketing in order to position the firm for further growth.

Joining from Schroders, she will focus on building the brand and developing the proposition for private clients, charities, intermediaries and institutional clients' channels.

Her wealth management background includes time spent at Rothschild, Canaccord Genuity and Brewin Dolphin.

“As Waverton continues on its path of growth, we believe that now is the time for us to invest in further marketing expertise,” Waverton CEO Nick Tucker, said.

HSBC
HSBC Asset Management has appointed Taras Pushak as portfolio manager for its emerging markets debt investment team. Based in London, Pushak will report to Bryan Carter, head of global emerging markets debt.

Pushak is responsible for managing the firm’s emerging market debt (EMD) total return strategies, and generating macroeconomic views and themes for implementation across its EMD investment portfolios.

With over 20 years’ experience, Pushak is joining from APG Asset Management, where he was a senior portfolio manager.
