Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Aberdeen Standard Capital

The latest senior roles in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.

Aberdeen Standard Capital has appointed ex-UBS employees Miranda Richards and Ben Turner as senior charities portfolio managers.

The managers will oversee discretionary portfolios on behalf of UK charities and foundations. Both will report to Laurence Gagen, head of charities, and will work with the charity team based across ASC’s six offices.

Richards has more than 30 years’ investment experience and joins from UBS where she was a charity-focused client advisor and led the London team. Prior to a career break, Richards was a fund manager at Henderson and oversaw the management of a $1 billion Global Smaller Companies Fund.

Turner also joins from UBS where he was senior client advisor for charity and not-for-profit clients, specialising in sustainable and impact investing. Prior to UBS, Turner had a similar role with Barclays Private Bank. He has been investing for charities for over 10 years.

Launched in 2008 Aberdeen Standard Capital (formally Standard Life Wealth) has £7.1 billion ($7.44 billion) of assets under management for private clients, charities, trust companies and pension schemes (as at 30 June 2020). It has offices in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Jersey. The group is the discretionary investment management arm of Aberdeen Standard Investments.
