What's New In Investments, Funds? – Robeco

The latest news on investment offerings, financial products and other services relevant to wealth advisors and their clients.
Robeco has launched the
Sustainable Asian Bonds strategy, a bond strategy investing in
diversified Asian fixed income.
The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth and offers an
“attractive yield,” Robeco said in a statement yesterday.
The exposure is predominately in companies that are contributing
to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs.
The offering follows an active approach with the flexibility to
take positions not linked to a market benchmark. The fund invests
in hard-currency Asian corporate and sovereign bonds and targets
a dividend yield of 4 to 6 per cent per annum throughout the
cycle. Part of the strategy of the fund is to beat the JP Morgan
Asia Credit Index.
The firm said the growth of its sustainable Asian bonds strategy
comes amid the expansion of Robeco’s Singapore office to six
investment professionals with additional hires planned for later
this year, taking the total investment professionals in the Asian
region, including the Hong Kong and Shanghai offices, to
25.
Thu Ha Chow, who was recently named as head of fixed income for
Asia, is the fund’s lead portfolio manager. Reinout Schapers, who
is responsible for the global credit funds and sustainable
emerging credit strategy, is the fund’s co-portfolio manager.
