Leonteq,
a structured products and insurance products firm, has
launched leverage products on BX Swiss, a stock exchange in
Zurich, which is part of the Boerse Stuttgart Group.
The move secures Leonteq’s position among major issuers of
exchange-traded leverage products in Switzerland, the business
said in a statement late last week. (Leveraged products are
financial instruments that enable traders to gain greater
exposure to the market without increasing their capital
investment.)
After it acquired a 10 per cent equity stake in BX Swiss in
December 2023, Leonteq became the exclusive market maker for
equities and exchange-traded funds on the exchange as of April
2024.
One year later, Leonteq expanded its footprint in the Swiss
market by launching its listed leverage products business,
focusing on retail investors. Leonteq is now the exclusive market
maker for all exchange-traded products listed on BX Swiss.
The firm has listed about 5,000 leverage products on BX
Swiss, primarily focusing on warrants. In parallel, Leonteq
has rapidly expanded its SIX Swiss Exchange offering to around
5,000 listed leverage products since launching the business in
April 2025. This brings the total to approximately 10,000
leverage products across both exchanges.
"Launching leverage products on BX Swiss is a key milestone that
strengthens our position among Switzerland’s top issuers,” Manuel
Dürr, head of sales for Switzerland at Leonteq,
said.
BX Swiss offers investors access to financial products such as
equities from more than 30 markets in Swiss francs, actively
managed certificates (AMCs), exchange-traded funds,
exchange-traded products on various cryptocurrencies, bonds,
funds, and structured products (deriBX).
