Wells Fargo AM To Market International Offering In France, Ireland, Sweden

Wells Fargo Asset Management has increased its European footprint with the registration of its investment sub-funds under the Wells Fargo (Lux) Worldwide Fund for distribution in France, Ireland and Sweden, part of the firm’s growth strategy to develop its international offerings.

The funds aim to provide French, Irish and Swedish investors a range of strategies seen by Wells Fargo as previously unavailable or under-represented in these markets.

The funds include a China Equity Fund, three emerging markets funds, a Precious Metals Fund and six US funds.

“We believe further expansion into the European asset management marketplace, which has an approximate market size of $2.9 trillion and a growth rate markedly faster than that of North America, is the logical next step for our growing international fund line-up,” Andrew Owen, executive vice president, Wells Fargo Asset Management, said in a statement.
