Wells Fargo AM Adds Five European Senior Figures

The US-based organisation's international business is expanding in the UK, Germany and France.

Wells Fargo Asset Management, overseeing $509 billion of assets under management at the end of 2019, has added five senior figures to its international clients group, based in various parts of Europe.

The firm appointed Emmanuel Archampong, Charlotte Dicker, Markus Weber, Murielle Didier and Teresa Smith.

Emmanuel Archampong joins WFAM’s London office as head of insurance, international. He will lead WFAM’s insurance business internationally, operating as the strategic lead with direct coverage of the UK market and partnering with regional-based client teams. Archampong joins WFAM from Royal London, where he served as head of insurance sales.

Charlotte Dicker joins WFAM as consultant relations director to work with investment consultants and focus on defined contribution and ESG investment solutions. Also based in London, Dicker will work alongside Joseph Dore, head of consultant relations Europe, and Matt Craddock, client director, focusing on growing WFAM’s increasing UK institutional presence. Dicker joins WFAM from State Street Global Advisors, where she served as vice president in a similar role.

Joining WFAM’s Frankfurt office as client director, Markus Weber is responsible for developing new business with the German and Austrian institutional asset management market. Weber joins WFAM from Nordea Asset Management, where he served as an institutional sales director.

WFAM has also appointed Murielle Didier as client director. Based at the firm’s Paris office, Didier will advise financial institutions in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, and French-speaking Switzerland. Murielle was formerly at JP Morgan AM, where she served as a client advisor for wholesale key accounts in France and Monaco.

Teresa Smith joins WFAM’s London office as business manager, running the support aspects of the international client group and serving as the primary liaison between the business unit and various support partners. Smith joined WFAM from Janus Henderson Investors, where she served as head of EMEA institutional sales support. Prior to this, Smith served as VP and head of international operations for Janus Capital International.

Last June Wells Fargo appointed Nico Marais as chief executive and head of Wells Fargo Asset Management.
