WealthTrust Arizona hires another senior advisor

Ex-LPL broker's appointment extends firm's retirement-planning capabilities. WealthTrust Arizona, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based affiliate of Nashville, Tenn.-based RIA aggregator WealthTrust has hired Lori Adamson, formerly an independent broker affiliated with LPL Financial, as a senior financial advisor.

The addition of Adamson "allows us to expand our talent pool and provide a greater depth of service to our clients, particularly in the retirement plan space," says WealthTrust Arizona principal Paul Ahern. "We are excited to have Lori join WealthTrust Arizona."

Proper stewardship

Adamson comes to WealthTrust Arizona with more than decade of experience in the financial-advice business under her belt. She's especially versed in retirement-plan services, having developed a specialty in the 401(k) space working with small business owners.

At WealthTrust Arizona, Adamson will join the Portfolio Committee and provide her expertise to the firm's retirement plan clients.

"On leaving LPL, I felt it was important to join a firm that was committed to comprehensive wealth services where client education and proper stewardship of investments were the focal points of the firm's service mission," says Adamson -- whose search presumably reached a good end at WealthTrust Arizona.

Late last year, WealthTrust Arizona hired hired Don Bertrand, formerly a relationship manager with Fidelity's private-client group, as a senior advisor.

Says Ahern: "Our goal is to deliver a top notch line-up of advisors who understand the importance of integrating estate planning, risk management, retirement planning and investment capabilities in a way that ensures our clients' every need is met," asserts Ahern."

With Adamson on board, WealthTrust Arizona has seven financial advisors.

The holding company WealthTrust has about a dozen affiliates with -- by early last fall -- more than $7.5 billion in client assets. It acquired WealthTrust Arizona, formerly DeGreen Wealth Management, late in 2006. -FWR
