Wealth Management House Rolls Out Suite Of UK Investor Visa Services, Cites Booming Demand

The UK-based wealth manager, which has ties with the Americas and Asia, has rolled out a new UK investor visa suite of services as demand surges, it says.
Wealth manager London &
Capital has launched three new investor visa services, saying
that it is responding to rising demand from international
investors seeking permanent UK residency.
The London-based firm said that 2014 saw a 30 per cent increase
in investor visa cases and the market for such high net worth
visas - sometimes dubbed "golden visas" - continues to develop in
dozens of jurisdictions worldwide.
The UK scheme, which has attracted ongoing political scrutiny,
has seen numerous adjustments over recent years in line with the
evolving needs of international citizens, tax changes and a drive
for commerciality. London & Capital, which has made a focus
in recent years of cross-border wealth structuring advice and
investment, such as for expat Americans and for people with
complex financial affairs involving the US, launched the range of
visa services to help the “changing and growing demand from
international clients”, it said in a statement.
“We’re seeing an increase in demand from international clients
looking to attain permanent residency through the investor visa
scheme, but not all require the same level of attention. Some may
just require the investor visa transactional services in place,
whereas others require full relocation services to the UK,” said
Mark Estcourt, executive director and founder of the
international wealth and immigration division at London &
Capital.
London & Capital’s "passive investor visa" is aimed at those who
require the visa alongside a quick and convenient service, but
are not interested in active investment management. Offering a
minimum level of transactional service, the product is solely
invested in UK gilts. The "active investor visa" service has been
developed for investors seeking an active mandate and some
control of their portfolio, with regular interaction with their
investment manager. The portfolio is invested in UK bonds and
equities.
The third of the series, the "comprehensive family office
service", is aimed at families who require full support in their
transition to the UK and investment expertise. Investments will
comprise UK and global stocks, and clients will have access to
legal, tax, property, insurance and concierge support. The
service will provide investors with “unlimited” meetings and
phone calls with their investment manager, the firm said.
“Each client has unique circumstances so we have developed our
services to tailor to the different needs, making it clearer for
both clients and immigration professionals we work so closely
with. This is a particular specialism for London & Capital and
we’re proud to be able to deliver these new tailored services to
our clients and prospective clients around the world,” Estcourt
continued.
Investors will pay an annual charge of 0.75 per cent, 1 per cent
and 1.25 per cent respectively for the passive, active and
comprehensive services.
Besides its work in the UK and US, London & Capital also operates in Asia.
