Wealth Management Giant Takes On ING Senior Executive

UBS has brought on Eli Leenaars to join its wealth management vice chairmen.

UBS has hired Eli Leenaars as divisional vice chairman within its wealth management division.

Leenars joins from ING Group, where sat on the ING Bank executive board and spent over 20 years, most recently as chief executive of ING Retail Banking International. 

In his new capacity, Leenaars will be responsible for driving the unit's relationship management and enhancing the overall client experience. He will be based in Zurich and report to UBS Wealth Management's chief executive, Jürg Zeltner.

“His expert knowledge and skills cover a very broad range of financial services from UHNW and institutional to investment banking, asset management, corporate and retail banking,” said Zeltner.

“Eli displays an outstanding client focus and has a strong track record of creating wealth management solutions for the most complex and sophisticated requirements.”
