Virginia-based Oyster Consulting, the wealth management consultancy firm, has launched an office in Chicago led by two industry veterans.

Michael Nolan, managing director of the new office, has a background as chief executive of Terra Nova Financial Group and manager of operations at Archipelago. Patrick Blackburn, relationship manager, was latterly a managing director at Merrill Lynch and, earlier, executive vice president at ABN AMRO.

Oyster Consulting, which was launched three years ago, supports wealth managers with audit, regulatory, compliance, financial, strategy, operational and technology consulting.
