Russia’s VTB Capital, the investment business of VTB Group, which provides investment management among its services, has appointed Andreas Boesenberg as deputy head of private equity and special situations and Iain Grosvenor as a consultant.

Boesenberg joined the firm from Wermuth Asset Management, the German alternative investments firm that mainly operates in Russia, the firm said in a statement. At Wermuth he was head of private equity and real estate, and also co-founded and co-managed a $70 million private equity fund.  During the last years he executed more than 25 transactions in Russia, Germany and the US with several IPOs and trade sales, VTB said.
