Vontobel Expands Private Banking Arm In Munich With Six Hires

Bank Vontobel Europe AG has hired a new branch office manager for its private banking division in Munich, as well as five relationship managers, in a bid to nurture its offerings in Germany.

Bank Vontobel Europe AG has hired a new branch office manager for its private banking division in Munich, as well as five relationship managers, in a bid to nurture its offerings in Germany.

The team, comprised of Dr Joachim Storck as branch office manager, the five relationship managers and an investment advisor, will “cultivate and expand the onshore high net worth segment”, the firm said in a statement. Bank Vontobel Europe AG declined to give the names of its new relationship managers.

Storck succeeds Alois Ebner in the managing role, who is stepping down after 12 years to concentrate on advising selected clients and handling strategic tasks within the firm. Ebner initially established the Munch branch office, leading it ever since.

Strengthening Vontobel’s expertise in private banking, Storck moves from Credit Suisse Deutschland AG. Here he was a member of the executive committee, private banking; taking responsibility for the Southern Germany region. He has also previously held roles at Dresdner Bank and Commerzbank (Deutschland) AG, and specialises in relationship management and client acquisitions.
