Vestra Hires Managing Partner From Rival Wealth Manager

Vestra Wealth has appointed a former Deutsche Bank senior manager as a managing partner.

Vestra Wealth, the London and Jersey-based firm, has appointed David Campbell as managing partner.

Campbell was most recently at Deutsche Bank, where he ran the firm’s private wealth management division in the UK until 2008. After that, he went on to focus on his main role as head of global investments and services. Campbell has also a background as a former managing director and head of fixed income at JP Morgan.

In his new job at Vestra, he will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. He will report to senior partner David Scott, who focuses on the firm’s long-term goal of becoming the leading independent wealth manager in the UK.

Vestra, which was established in 2008 and targets high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals both onshore and offshore, had around £2.6 billion in assets under management at the end of March.

The wealth manager employs 140 people. Among the firm’s recent hires are investment managers Jacqueline Crawley and Miles Berryman, who joined the firm’s London office in February from BNP Paribas.

The appointment of Campbell is subject to regulatory approval.
