Van Biema Value Partners, the international investment advisor, has appointed Stephen Bondi as chief operating officer.

Bondi was most recently the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Asset Alliance Corporation, where he served for the past ten years. Prior to that, he held several executive roles at GAMCO Investors.

In his new role he will report to Michael Van Biema, the firm's founder and managing partner.

"He will play an important role in assisting the firm as we continue to grow and expand our presence in the alternative investment arena," van Biema said in a statement.

The company manages portfolios of hedge funds and managed accounts for clients worldwide, including pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices and high net worth individuals.
