US wealth managers MB Investment Partners of New York and Ironwood Capital Management have merged, bringing total assets under management to over $1.1 billion. Boston-based Ironwood brings to MB Investment Partners small cap equities investing experience across a broad series of products and strategies, said the firm's in a joint statement. Warren Isabelle, president and chief investment officer of Ironwood, will become chief investment officer of the newly consolidated organisation. Centre Partners, a middle market private equity firm, will continue to support MB Investment Partners to build its wealth management and institutional investment platform. "We are confident that this merger will allow us to further diversify our product offering and wealth management platform to preserve and enhance our client's wealth," said Robert Machinist, managing partner at MB Investment Partners in a statement.
