First Private Bank & Trust, a member of Boston Private Wealth Management Group has opened a wealth management and trust department, in Santa Monica, California. It will offer investment management, administrative, consultative and fiduciary services to the larger Los Angeles area. Gary Helme has been named executive vice president and chief fiduciary officer, and will be managing the new Santa Monica wealth management and trust services office. He was previously at Wilmington Trust. Boston Private Wealth Management Group has $30 billion in managed client investments.
