US Trust Exec Chosen As Chair-Elect Of CFP Board

Nancy Kistner of US Trust has been chosen as 2012 chair-elect of the board of directors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
Kistner, who is managing director and wealth planning solutions market director at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in New York, will begin her duties as chair-elect on 1 January 2011. She takes over the chair-elect position from Alan Goldfarb, who will begin his term as chair on the same date.
"I am excited that Nancy gets to help lead CFP Board in growing the CFP designation and raising awareness of the profession," said Charles Moran, the organization’s 2011 chair.
"It's an exciting time for our professionals," added Goldfarb. "In the wake of CFP Board's public awareness campaign, our organization and the profession is more visible than ever. Nancy will harness her extensive leadership experience to increase the standards of the profession and ensure that the public is aware of our role."
Kistner has also previously worked at Citi Private Bank, where she managed a team of financial planners, and MetLife Financial Services before that, where she was head of financial planning training.
