The University of Pennsylvania’s, Wharton School has teamed up with the Singapore Management University to develop research in family business governance, wealth management and philanthropy. The so-called Wharton Global Family Alliance is designed to allow dialogue between researchers and leading families in the business world. Wharton GFA now has research capabilities on three continents, North America, Europe and Asia. Recently Wharton GFA announced research partnerships with SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy and IESE in Spain. In addition, Wharton GFA is working with two not-for-profit family business associations – Associazione Italiana delle Aziende Familiari in Italy and Instituto de la Empressa Familiar in Spain.
