US Private Banking Group Hires Ex-Renaissance Man To Head London Office

Atlas One, the Miami-headquartered private banking group, has appointed Brian Lazell, a senior fixed income banker, to lead its new London office as part of wider European expansionary moves.

Mr Lazell joined Atlas One from Renaissance Capital – the Moscow-based investment bank – where he worked for three years as head of debt products before leaving in 2008. Prior to this he spent seven years at Paris-listed BNP Paribas, holding various senior positions, the most recent of which was head of corporate debt capital markets, Europe.

Atlas One executes business on behalf of its own private bank. The firm also handles trades for Latin America and regional US mid-market companies, and is aiming to utilise a similar strategy in Europe over time.

Atlas One’s private bank currently has $1.5 billion in assets under management.
