US HNWs go for Made-to-Measure

Tiffany & Co is the most popular brand for made-to-measure luxury goods among Americans with an average household income of $307,000 and average net worth of $3.1 million, according to a recent survey. Lexus leads carmakers, Rolex the watches category: other brands mentioned frequently by name were Armani, BMW, Brooks Brothers, Cartier, Coach, Gucci, Mercedes-Benz and Ralph Lauren. Forty-two per cent of wealthy men and women overall have purchased made-to-order products, ranging from 53 per cent of those worth more than $5 million down to a third of those with under $1 million.
