The US firm said its new body will curate and highlight insights from its investment research teams, and build educational content.

US investment house T Rowe Price has formed an institute to support its talent development and strengthen its delivery of investment insights to clients.

Justin Thomson, head of International Equity and a chief investment officer, will head the T Rowe Price Investment Institute, which is scheduled to launch at the start of January 2025.

Thomson will create the institute’s charter, which is expected to involve establishing a centre of excellence for developing differentiated investment thought leadership and internal investment talent development. 

The work of the institute will include curating and highlighting insights generated by the firm’s investment research organisation and developing educational content. 

T Rowe Price's move echoes initiatives taken by other firms to bolster their investment ideas and propagate the views of strategists. The BlackRock Investment Institute, for example, is one case.
