US Capital Advisors, which has wealth management and investment banking businesses, has opened a branch in downtown Austin, TX.

The new office follows the hiring last year of Clifford McTee as managing director and Austin market manager. Before joining US Capital last June, McTee was a senior vice president overseeing 13 wealth management offices in central and west Texas at Wells Fargo Advisors.

McTee said the firm would be providing niche investment solutions to clients in Austin, as well as traditional investments.

"Austin was a logical next step for the geographic expansion of our firm. We are confident we can provide the same individually focused solutions to clients in Austin as we have in Houston," said Pat Mendenhall, managing partner and head of wealth management at US Capital.

US Capital, which is based in Houston, provides services to high net worth clients, family offices, and institutional and corporate clients.
