UOB Private Bank Expands Pact With Columbia Threadneedle Investments

The US-headquartered asset management firm will be able to expand its wealth management distribution capabilities across Asia.

Threadneedle Investments has expanded a partnership with
UOB Private
Bank so that the bank’s clients can tap into opportunities
such as healthcare.
UOB Private Bank clients will gain access to Seligman
Investments' specialist healthcare long/short capability,
following the launch of its technology long/short strategy
through the same partnership. The strategies have logged inflows
of more than $1 billion since the start of 2026.
The partnership underscores Columbia Threadneedle's continued
focus on expanding access to its capabilities through strategic
partnerships with leading wealth management firms across
Asia.
The healthcare long/short strategy recently marked its third
anniversary.
Seligman Investments is Columbia Threadneedle Investments'
specialist technology and healthcare investment business; it
forms part of the firm's global alternatives capability. Seligman
is led by chief investment officer Paul Wick whose his team
is based in Silicon Valley; they oversee $48.2 billion via
hedge funds, mutual funds and separately managed accounts. The
business also includes Seligman Ventures, its venture capital
platform.
