UK-Based Alternatives Fund Platform Ramps Up Sales Drive With Hires

A firm that aims to give the niche area of enterprise investment schemes a major lift via its platform has made a trio of appointments.
Kuber Ventures, the platform giving access to enterprise investment schemes and similar funds, has appointed a trio as part of its sales growth ambitions.
The hires are Tim Thornton, Matt Lenzie and Kate Hopkin. All
three roles are newly-created, the firm said in a
statement.
Hopkin joins as a business development
associate. Previously, she worked at Brooks MacDonald and
Fidelity International.
Lenzie’s role is to increase Kuber Ventures' coverage across
London and the Southeast of the UK, while Thornton is based in
Leeds. Lenzie was previously head of sales for EIS and head of
investor relations at Angels Den, an investor platform. Thornton
has worked at Blackfinch Investments and in previous roles in the
North of England.
Kuber Ventures says it is the only alternative fund investment
platform offering access to EIS and seed EIS
(SEIS) portfolios and funds. The business was set up in 2013
and its chief executive is Dermott Campbell, who has held senior
positions at firms such as UBS.
