Culliford Edmunds Associates, a recruitment firm specialising in wealth management, has teamed up with Singapore-based headhunter, SearchWorks. CEA is based in London’s Mayfair, whilst SearchWorks has its principal office in Singapore and operations in Hong Kong, India and recently in Australia. The firms said in a joint statement that their activities are complementary rather than in competition with each other. CEA has its main focus in Europe, Middle East and Africa, whereas SearchWorks has all its mandates in Asia and Australia. Dudley Edmunds, director and founder of CEA, told WealthBriefing: “There’s a lot of people moving around within private banking at the moment. For example, four or five years ago I probably would not have had a private bank asking me to find a structured products manager. Now I have to find three of them. “Next I could be trying to find a quant manager for a private bank. At the top-end of high net worth to super-rich, it’s almost as if you were dealing with institutional clients. They are very sophisticated.” CEA also has an associate agreement in Monaco and is looking to tie up others in Geneva and New York.
