Garbutt and Elliott, an accountancy and advisory firm based in northern England, has named Simon Holt as managing director of its wealth management arm, G&E Wealth Management.

Holt was latterly managing director of Skipton Financial Services, the advisory arm of Skipton Building Society.

Garbutt and Elliott has offices in Leeds, York, Newcastle and Scarborough; the firm's wealth management operations are carried out from the former two offices.
