Chelverton Investor Club, led by Bath-headquartered Chelverton Asset Management, has invested in early-stage technology business Hypersonica.

The UK's Chelverton Asset Management has made its first "Investor Club" deal of the year.

Members of the Chelverton Investor Club completed a capital growth investment in technology business Hypersonica, which combines internet security and search results in its mobile application, Hypersonica Safe Search.

“Whilst the company is at an earlier stage in its development than many typical Investor Club transactions, the product is fully operational and the roll-out, with the hugely impressive list of distribution partners, is well underway. The operational model is massively scalable, and by the end of 2015 we predict over six million active users,” Richard Bucknell, who led the investment for Chelverton, said in a statement.

The Chelverton Investor Club, developed by Chelverton's unquoted investment team, focuses primarily on smaller-cap investments.
