Blue Sky Asset Management, the London-based structured investment specialist, has recruited Chris Gillam from Cazenove Capital Management as business development manager.

Mr Gillam had been a UK key account manager within Cazenove’s specialist investment division since 2005. Prior to this he worked at both Morley Fund Management and HSBC Asset Management in business development and intermediary support roles.

The expansion of Blue Sky Asset Management's team reflects the increasing demand from wealth management firms for structured investments, the firm said in a statement.

“Our focus on delivering a research-backed, private banking style of approach and level of structuring capability, is resonating with wealth management specialists - and we are looking to closely support the firms and advisors that we work with, who view us as a trusted provider/partner, delivering intelligent, client-centric, structured investments,” said Chris Taylor, Blue Sky Asset Management's chief executive.

Blue Sky Asset Management, which was established in 2007, specialises in structured investments for retail and institutional investors.
