UK Investment House Rolls Out Multi-Asset Protected Fund

UK investment firm London & Capital has launched a capital-protected fund that holds global equities, commodities and property.

The Multi Asset Rainbow Plan is designed to appeal to “nervous investors” concerned about the current volatile market conditions.

At maturity, subject to the performance of the underlying indices, the client will receive either a full return of capital or capital plus a weighted return based upon the performance of the three underlying asset classes, London & Capital said.

The offer period for the fund runs from 30 June to 1 September, but it will close earlier if it is oversubscribed.

Capital protection is provided by Barclays Bank. For the purpose of the plan, the starting value of stock market indices is 22 September and the final value will be taken on 22 September 2014. The underlying investments in equities are: FTSE 100, S&P 500, DJ Euro stoxx 50, Nikkei 225. In commodities, the index benchmark is the DJ AIG Excess Return Index, and for property, the indices are: FTSE EPEU and TSE REIT.

If the client's circumstances change and they have to cash in their investment before it matures after its six-year term ends, they can do so, but the cash value is not guaranteed and will depend on prevailing market conditions including, but not limited to, interest rates and the levels of the underlying indices.
