UK Investment Boutique Hires From UBS

Veritas Asset Management, the UK-based independent investment boutique, has appointed former UBS-man Guy Davidson to the newly-created position of UK regional discretionary sales manager.

In his new role Mr Davidson will further develop Veritas’ relationships with regionally-based discretionary asset managers across the UK and promote the firm’s global and Asia products, the firm said in a statement.

Mr Davidson, who will take up his new role on 1 December, will also be responsible for relationship management and business development with the head offices of national wealth management firms.

For the last seven years, Mr Davidson was regional sales director at UBS Global Asset Management, building the profile of the bank's UK wholesale team.

“A number of our funds have reached significant milestones so far this year, while we have also broken through the £2 billion ($3.3 billion) barrier of assets under management. Guy’s appointment clearly demonstrates our aim to build upon this momentum,” said Richard Meyrick, director and head of sales and marketing at Veritas.
