Five of the UK’s largest mortgage brokers have joined forces to form a syndicate to give them greater influence with lenders over products for high net worth clients. The five brands, Alexander Hall, Chase De Vere Mortgage Management, Cobalt Capital, Hamptons International Mortgages and Savills Private Finance are aiming to produce £10 billion ($19.5 billion) of lending through their Concordia consortium in 2007. Concordia is a loose arrangement between the brands, which seeks to combine their volume of lending and experience to negotiate improved products and service agreements for high net worth clients. Lenders have been notified and the group is organising individual meetings to negotiate deals. The businesses will also share best practice in areas such as compliance, product design and IT platforms through Concordia.
